Position Summary

The Director of Treasury is responsible for identifying the right opportunities at the right time for the organization. They work closely with the CFO to design and execute the strategic capitalization plan for the organization. Cash management and analytical skills are critical, and the right candidate will have their fingers on the pulse of the aviation industry and the broader market.

Essential Functions

  • Recommends strategic opportunities for cash management to senior management, including short-term and long-term assessments for investment opportunities
  • Develops the right capital management plan for the company through assessing sale-lease backs, leasing, and purchase-finance scenarios
  • Manages the operating cash flow, including payments processing and capital investment requests
  • Leads the communication efforts with Breeze investors, including progress and status updates
  • Develops relationships with business partners, banks, rating agencies, and industry contacts
  • Responsible for negotiating and ensuring compliance with financial contractual requirements
  • Strategically identifies and implements aircraft and other capital asset financing opportunities
  • Manages capital budgeting and forecasting in line with the strategic plans for the organization
  • Executes investments according to the company investment policy, working to develop and improve the policy, reporting, and analytics
  • Provides negotiations support for aircraft, engines, other capital equipment, components/other materials, and heavy maintenance programs
  • Main point of contact for insurance and other risk-related items
  • Responsible for directing the right insurance purchases across the organization and providing the appropriate materials to the insurance brokers and other parties
  • Maintain and build relationships with insurance brokers, insurers, and other service providers
  • Works with the vice presidents of technical and fleet programs to ensure proper assessment of operational needs and support for procurement negotiations
  • Create ad hoc analytical analyses to assist with proper cash management throughout the organization
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by the senior executive team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in treasury, investor relations, FP&A, institutional debt, and/or structured finance
  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
  • Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Financial Analyst
  • MBA
